The wasted spend calculator.
Type in your monthly Google Ads spend and your red-flag count from the audit. The page does the math live. The number is conservative. Your real waste is usually higher.
Step 01 · Tell me about your account
Step 02 · Your waste rate
Set your flag count and a realistic rate will populate here.
The output is direct media waste only. It does not count the lift Smart Bidding produces once it has clean signal, which compounds for months after you fix things.
Reference · Your waste rate
| Score | Conservative | Realistic |
|---|---|---|
| 0 to 2 issues | 3% | 5% |
| 3 to 5 issues | 15% | 25% |
| 6 to 7 issues | 30% | 45% |
| 8 to 10 issues | 45% | 60% |
Worked example
A $25K a month account scoring seven red flags applies the realistic 45% rate.
$25,000 × 45% = $11,250 per month
$11,250 × 12 = $135,000 per year

The real number is bigger.
The calculator only shows direct media waste, money spent on traffic that wouldn't convert. It excludes the second-order cost. Every month bad signal flows into Smart Bidding, the algorithm gets better at finding more of the wrong people. That compounds for months. Accounts I clean up usually see a 20 to 40 percent drop in cost per qualified lead within sixty days, on top of the waste that stops the day you change the settings.
